Hello from Cerbos!

Since our last update, we've released Cerbos PDP v0.34, discussed the capabilities of the in-browser IDE Playground that is available to Cerbos Hub users, crafted a guide on selecting IAM tools, and explored how to increase your system's security with a purpose-designed authorization layer.

Our co-founders, Emre Baran and Alex Olivier, also appeared on the Jamstack Radio podcast, discussing solutions that will allow authorization to no longer be a bottleneck but a catalyst for innovation and security.

Product updates

Cerbos Hub

Since the release of Hub in November we have been heads down ensuring the journey to get up and running with Cerbos in your environment is as slick as possible. Several enhancements have been introduced this month around making Hub more intuitive and informative:

• Simply share your current playground
  It is now easier to collaborate with your colleagues in the Playground with the ability to deep-link to specific files, tests and fixtures. Simply copy the URL and send it to your colleagues and they will join you in the same environment with real-time editing of policies just like a Google Doc.
• See all test cases - fast
  You can now quickly and easily see all the tests which have run for every commit to your policy repository with quick links to the file on GitHub.

• Flexible deployments on Google Cloud Run
  We have updated the reference implementation for Google Cloud Run to support both gRPC and HTTP-based PDP deployments. You can find it and other deployment mechanisms in the Decision Point section of Cerbos Hub.
